I'm trying to connect to my new Kinoma Element. I'm on linux, so the Kinoma IDE is not an option for me, so I've tried both telnet (http://kinoma.com/develop/documentation/element/#programmers-guide-to-kinoma-element-telnet) and USB (http://kinoma.com/develop/documentation/element/#programmers-guide-to-kinoma-element-usb). However I can't seem to get either to work.
Like others have reported, my Element blinks blue. I can see an SSID k5-somedigits, and can connect to that, but after that the telnet command doesn't do anything and I don't know the MAC address. So I tried USB.
On USB, /dev/cu.* doesn't exist, but I realized, like (http://forum.kinoma.com/discussion/672/usb-serial-connection#latest) that the device is called /dev/ttyACM0, or alternatively, /dev/serial/by-id/usb-MARVELL_MARVEL.... However when using
cu to connect, all I get is:
sudo cu -l /dev/ttyACM0
cu: open (/dev/ttyACM0): Permission denied
cu: /dev/ttyACM0: Line in use
